I always looked forward to my weekly shift at the Wear After Shop (4752 Liberty Ave.) for many reasons, but the top reason is simply that I love Bloomfield. On one of the first warm days of the year, I stepped outside for a minute. An older gentleman approached me and actually spoke Italian as he patted my arm. I caught only 'bongiorno' and 'bella.' I'd like to think it was a compliment. At any rate, it definitely made my day and confirmed my feelings for the neighborhood.
